Having completed his Art History degree at University College London, Anatole moved to Paris at the age of 21 to learn French, where he began as assistant Nail Technician backstage at the fashion shows. He soon started working in the studio, and made a name for himself in his own right.
Anatole is now firmly established between London and Paris, where he regularly works for publications such as Vogue (US, British, French, Japanese, Chinese, Russian), Numéro, Pop, Vanity Fair, iD, Dazed and Confused, and Glamour. Advertising clients include Aquascutum, Burberry, Topshop, Rimmel, Chaumet, Hermes, Nivea, Fred Joaillerie, Guerlain, Lancome, Louis Vuitton, and YSL. He collaborates with photographers such as Liz Collins, Patrick Demarchelier, Emma Summerton, Dan Jackson, Mario Sorrenti, Michael Thompson, Miles Aldridge, Phil Poynter, and has headed Nail teams for fashion shows including Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Fendi, Gap, Versace, Costume National and Dior Homme, and has worked with many celebrities: Cate Blanchett, Keira Knightley, Victoria Beckam, Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Eva Green, Elizabeth Hurley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Christina Ricci, and Brad Pitt.
